This teaching addresses many translation errors and biases in 1 Timothy 2:11-15. Women have often been excluded from teaching and leadership roles in the Church because of misunderstanding and/or mistranslation of this section of scripture. Along with providing a more accurate translation of these verses, dominant cultural influences at the time of Paul’s writing are explained.
