The habits a child forms when they are young usually follow them into adulthood. If parents will train their children in the way of the Lord, they will likely continue on that road when they grow up. But even if they go astray, the instruction and guidance they received as a youth can resurface and they may remember what they were taught and turn back to the Lord.
