What Proverbs teaches us is that our attitude and way of thinking can send us down two drastically different roads. One ends in disaster, and the other in glory. Pride does bring glory and honor; rather, humility is what does that. When we live with humility, willing to submit to Yahweh and live with the fear of Yahweh, then he will exalt us and give us glory and honor.
