The difference between a fear of Yahweh that is driven by selfish interests and the true fear of Yahweh is that the one who seeks to grow wise understands they cannot live with true wisdom apart from a genuine relationship with Yahweh. When we live with the true fear of Yahweh, our hearts will turn toward him and we will appreciate and value the disciplining and training that he gives so that we may become wise and discerning.
